Welcome To Ulan-Ude
Arrivant à la fin de mes études de "bachelor" en "sciences assistées par ordinateurs" (= computational science and engineering) en été 2005, j'ai décidé de partir à l'étranger pour un semestre avant de reprendre mes études pour le" master".
Ich wollte etwas ganz anderes machen, zum Beispiel mit kleinen Kindern arbeiten. Nach einigem Suchen fand ich beim SCI (Service Civil International) ein Projekt in einem Waisenhaus in Ulan-Ude, Burjatien, Sibirien, Russland.
I applied for that project, they accepted me, and I could go there as a volunteer for 4 months. Since I have some friends in Japan and DPRK (Democratic People's Republic of Korea), I decided to visit them before returning to Switzerland after my stay in Ulan-Ude.
J'étais en route du 23 septembre 2005 au 8 mars 2006. J'ai passé 5 mois riches en nouvelles expériences et en aventures. J'ai régulièrement écrit des emails à mes amis pour raconter ce qui se passait autour de moi pendant mes voyages, mon travail à l'orphelinat ou ma nouvelle vie quotidienne à Ulan-Ude.
